My friend Alison and I attempted a skillet cobbler using blackberries we picked on the trails above her house. Since the inspiration recipe from Cook’s Country was originally for a peach cobbler, we threw some of those in as well. And, a good bit of sugar, as our wild blackberries were T-A-R-T.
I have to say that the biscuits on top, sprinkled with the always delicious cinnamon-sugar mixture, were the most memorable part of this dish. It also reminded me of the cinnamon pull-apart biscuits that my mom used to make us growing up, thus transforming this into breakfast cobbler!
