Cream Cheese? On a pizza?

Put cream cheese on a pizza. Do it. Eat it. Savor It. Even though this photo does not at all perfectly illustrate how the cream cheese, when warm, becomes more creamy and tangy and gives way beautifully on your tongue. It gets a little charred in places, if not smothered in mozzarella cheese, as shown here. It’s just good.

I have a pizza place in Maine that we enjoyed a few years ago while on a trip for my mom’s birthday to thank for this revelation. It’s now our go-to pizza ingredient.
